CONFIDENTIAL

Wearing his own brother as a jacket is not a figure of speech for Bobby Funk: at the Corrida Colosseum in Dressrosa, that is literally what happens, as he puts on Kelly — transformed by the Jake Jake no Mi — to borrow his strength in combat. Tall, muscular, towering a full head over his brother, hair and long beard each tied into twin ponytails, a spiral lightning tattoo on his shoulder, a wide-brimmed hat and a tie over a white shirt: Bobby is the duo's body, Kelly is its mind.

Every bit of power Bobby shows off in the arena is never his own; for the length of the fight, it belongs to living fabric that remains, underneath it all, someone else's skin. The same trick powers the trap set for Trafalgar Law and Luffy, meant to collect the bounties Doflamingo placed on them — a plan that falls apart when Sai steps in to avenge Boo, injured earlier by the two brothers from the Kingdom of Mogaro. Where Kelly designs, Bobby executes and absorbs the hits — the duo goes down together, in the same instant, stitched together by the same garment.

Thirty-six million berries, twenty-one million less than his brother, for the man who threw every one of the duo's punches without ever holding any of its strategy. No confirmed reappearance after Dressrosa: Bobby's file closes on the image of a body fighting with someone else's strength, and losing along with it.
