CONFIDENTIAL

No source names the island Wellington ruled over. All that's known is that a pirate captain held ground there when the Donquixote Pirates landed, fourteen to sixteen years before the present story, to drive him out — one raid among many in the long, uncounted list of islands Doflamingo's crew brought to heel without ever keeping a public tally.

What sets Wellington apart is who stood against him that day: two children already enlisted in the enemy crew, Trafalgar Law and Baby 5, sent ahead as scouts without weighing the odds. Wellington overpowers them without effort and holds a knife to young Law's throat — one of the very first men, chronologically, to hold the future Warlord's life in his own two hands, years before Flevance, Corazon, or Dressrosa ever entered the picture. Donquixote officers step in just in time and save both children, leaving Wellington behind, covered in cuts, with the story never once confirming whether he actually survived the scene.

The file stops there. No named island, no precise chapter, no confirmed fate — only that knife, and the reprieve it granted a child who would grow into one of the most wanted names in the New World. Wellington's 10 million bounty, though, was never revised: it predates that day, resting on nothing more than having held an island against every crew that came before the Donquixote Pirates.
