Devil Dias’s WANTED poster with a reward of 60 million Berries.

Devil Dias was captain of the Acumate Pirates before he became a collector's item. Captured and sold to a World Noble, Saint Rosward, he ends up on the Sabaody Archipelago, in chapter 500, as part of a private collection of enslaved pirate captains — living trophies a Celestial Dragon displays because no law stops him.
His one escape attempt turns into a humiliation. The explosive collar meant to keep him captive detonates before he can get away, and it is Rosward's own daughter, Shalria, who shoots him on a whim, more annoyed than alarmed by the incident — she complains out loud that she would rather have owned a giant instead. Even the family dog, Saru, joins in the humiliation. Luffy, watching the scene, has to be physically held back by Hachi to keep from stepping in right away — proof the moment was written to provoke a reaction, not only to humiliate its own victim.
Devil Dias survives the wound, but not the scene: the Navy takes custody of him immediately afterward, closing the episode without a single fight ever pitting him against them. Sixty million berries, a bounty the dataset lists as CLOSED — nothing in the story shows the World Government formally cancelling that notice, only a man taken back into custody once he stopped being an active threat. One quiet detail slips through the scene: Devil Dias mentions a wife and a son he hopes to see again, the only trace of any life before his capture.
