CONFIDENTIAL

Klahadore, Kaya's flawless butler for three straight years, was carrying two names too many. Behind the round glasses was Captain Kuro of the Black Cat Pirates, and the plan underneath was anything but improvised: marry his sickly employer, have her killed by his own men disguised as burglars, inherit everything, then sail off with a legally clean paper trail and a crew that would, on record, no longer exist. Three years of patience for one night of execution.

The file lists no Devil Fruit. Kuro fights bare-handed, with claw-blades strapped to his gloves and a burst of speed — the Kuro no Ashigei — that, panel after panel, convinces opponents they're fighting several men at once. His lieutenants, the Nyaban Brothers — Sham and Buchi — go down to Zoro before the plan reaches its final act; it was Usopp, the village boy everyone had spent months calling a liar over an invented pirate raid, who'd been right the whole time.

Luffy closes the case himself, on the beach in front of Kaya, by throwing Kuro back to his own fleeing crew instead of handing him over to anyone. No arrest, no sighting, no paperwork has followed since — only the bounty figure has stayed on record, still active with nothing ever surfacing to revise it.

Sixteen million, for a man whose real weapon was never strength but patience: three years playing a role without a single slip, for a fortune he never actually collected.
