CONFIDENTIAL

Giolla found him abandoned as an infant and raised him inside the crew itself, which makes the Donquixote Family the only life Dellinger has ever known. He was six years old when the crew seized control of Dressrosa — by far the youngest member involved in that takeover, sixteen years before the story catches up with him.

No Devil Fruit, no particular Haki: his weapon is a fighting fish-man's own body, able to snap out a razor dorsal fin and reshape his teeth mid-brawl — a power he was born with, not one he acquired. He arrives to back up Gladius against Cavendish and Bartolomeo, and Cavendish's alter ego Hakuba cuts him down with a single stroke before he can even turn around. Hakuba, the second personality that takes over Cavendish's body while he sleeps, remembers none of it once Cavendish wakes up — the man who beat Dellinger will never know he did.

Nobody else in the Family grew up quite this way — Baby 5 and Buffalo both arrived as teenagers, Dellinger as a newborn with no prior life to speak of. Leo and Kabu only step in afterward, and only to stop Giolla from bringing him back with her own Ato Ato no Mi; neither of them ever fights him directly. Fifteen million berries for the youngest officer in the group, on a file that opens before he could talk and closes on the blade of a man who, waking up, will forget forever that he won this particular fight.
