Pica’s Bounty at 99 million Berries

Three men, three seats, one figure. Trebol on the Club, Diamante on the Diamond, Pica on the Spade: each of the Donquixote Family's three top officers carries ninety-nine million berries, to the berry. Three careers landing on the same sum is, in all likelihood, a rank with a price on it — one million under the line that makes a name matter in the first half of the Grand Line, and a long way beneath their captain's three hundred and forty million.

What Pica does with that rank bears no relation to the number. The Ishi Ishi no Mi lets him sink into any stone and swim through it, and on an island built almost entirely of rock that means the landscape answers to him. During the Birdcage he lowered the royal plateau, pushed the SMILE factory up to the surface and carried the palace to the top of the Flower Field. He also fused with the city into a golem as tall as the castle itself, and out of that body came a voice pitched almost like a child's. He has never taken it well: one of his own men sniggered at it and went off the palace roof.

Roronoa Zoro fought him in rounds, across terrain that kept changing shape between passes. It ended when Pica broke off to crush King Riku and the citizens sheltering with him on the old royal plateau. Zoro split the stone body in half; Pica came out of the rubble with his whole frame sheathed in Armament Haki, certain it would hold; Zoro cut through the Haki and the man with Sanzen Sekai. The Marines took him in with the other officers once Doflamingo fell. Ninety-nine million is the only price the series ever puts on the man who rearranged a kingdom.
