Bellamy’s Bounty at 195 million Berries

One hundred and ninety-five million berries, more than triple the fifty-five he carried on Jaya — and not one berry of that increase comes from Dressrosa. The figure was already on his head the day he walked into the Corrida Colosseum, along with its new epithet, Deadly Bullet of Dressrosa. Everything he is remembered for on that island happened afterwards.

What the sum pays for happened off-page, in the two years. Bellamy went up to a sky island, the very thing he had laughed at, and came back down alone: his crew did not survive the trip. He brought back a pillar of gold, set it in front of Doflamingo, then reportedly spent his time hitting countries that crossed Dressrosa. The number records that, and a fighter of a different order: Armament Haki, two gladiators pinned through the feet, and Dagama telling his allies to drop Bellamy first.

What it never bought him was the seat he was after. The order relayed at the Colosseum was not to face Luffy but to assassinate him before the tournament ended, in exchange for a permanent officer's chair in the Family. Doflamingo was also sending Dellinger to kill him: fifteen million against a hundred and ninety-five, and the fifteen belonged to the house. A man's price says nothing about his standing there. Bellamy climbed to the palace to ask for an explanation himself, and came out unrecognisable.

Cut loose from the strings, he demanded the fight anyway and landed a Haki-hardened Spring Hopper that broke Luffy's own hardening and left him coughing blood — the one moment in his career that looks like this amount. He went down to the same punch that felled him at Mock Town, and left the island with no chair, refusing to be anyone's subordinate, carrying a scrap of Vivre Card. He turns up later as an apprentice dyer under a man named Serizawa, bounty still active.
