Caesar Clown’s Bounty at 300,000,000 Berries

Caesar Clown worked alongside Vegapunk before becoming, at Punk Hazard, everything his former colleague fights against. The Gasu Gasu no Mi gives him total control over gas; he used it to build a weapon capable of leveling an island, then to kidnap children in an attempt to turn them into giants — experiments that left the survivors with a life expectancy still measured in a handful of years today. When Vegapunk discovered the weapon and moved to arrest him, Caesar detonated the facility, killing part of his own staff and blanketing the whole island in poison gas.

His 300,000,000 berry bounty prices that one episode, and nothing that came after: the production of SAD, the ingredient behind the SMILE fruits that Doflamingo and later Kaido handed out to their subordinates, with no additional figure ever added to his file despite the scale of the network he kept supplied.

Between the two episodes, Law held him hostage through the Dressrosa campaign against Doflamingo, using the Ope Ope no Mi to confiscate his own heart and force his cooperation — and Caesar still managed to break free of a Marine escort afterward. After Wano, he found another disgraced former scientist, Vinsmoke Judge, and the two founded NEO MADS together — a project pitched as Vegapunk's successor. Both men were still on Egghead when Vegapunk's final message went out, with neither of them, at that point, having produced a single breakthrough able to compete with the man they claim to be surpassing.
