Scratchmen Apoo’s Bounty at 350,000,000 Berries

Three captains sit down to dinner after Doflamingo falls and congratulate each other that Luffy and Law are hunting a different Emperor from theirs. One of the three is listening on Kaido's behalf, and has been for a long while. That is the period this increase covers.

Apoo built an alliance against Shanks with two men he had already sold. He brought Kaido down on his own partners: Kid lost his freedom and two years of his life to a labour camp, Hawkins lost his independence and now serves as a Shinuchi under the Emperor he had signed up to attack. The same Apoo had stepped in front of an admiral two years earlier to stop that same Hawkins from being killed.

There is no contradiction in this, only a constant. He places himself beside whichever party will still be standing, and he decides as late as possible. It is the one method in his generation that requires no strength at all, and it outlasted two crews that had plenty.

At Onigashima he injured Luffy and then Zoro in quick succession by exploiting the fact that neither knew how to guard against sound, offered to switch sides again when the battle turned, and then left the field. The story has not said where he is since. That may be the fairest summary of this file: the amount is active, the subject cannot be found, and neither of the crews he betrayed is in any condition to go looking.
