Sasaki’s Bounty at 472 million Berries

Sasaki is a fish-man, a bluespine unicornfish, and he commands the Beasts Pirates' Armored Division, the corps that fields the tanks and the siege engines. He also holds one of the six Tobiroppo seats, the rank immediately under Kaido and the three All-Stars, and makes no secret of wanting one of theirs. Before Kaido he captained the Sasaki Pirates; the story never dates the 472 million and never says what he was worth while sailing under his own flag.

The fight with Franky is long and it is real. Sasaki charges as a triceratops and shoves back a thirteen-metre robot, cuts with the Karakuri Rasento, a sword whose blade spins like a drill, and launches himself airborne by rotating his neck frill. Franky credits him with surviving several finishing moves; Sasaki breaks the Franken, punches a horn through the General Franky's shoulder and forces the shipwright to eject.

What ends him is elsewhere. Usopp hands Tama's dango to the Armored Division, and the corps Sasaki had said he could not afford to lose changes sides in a block; brainwashed or not, he rules, they are traitors. Earlier that night Denjiro, whom he still took for an ally, had already chained him to a tree. And the last shot comes from a man on the ground: ejected, lying beside the wreck of his machine, Franky fires a Franky Radical Beam into the triceratops belly, the one place the hide does not cover.

Franky entered Wano at 94 million and came out at 394. The shipwright was worth a fifth of the armored commander he put down, which is the sort of gap a wanted poster only corrects after the fact.
