Hitting him harder is never the right call, and that's precisely the mistake Pedro made by drawing him into a straight sword duel instead of avoiding him outright. A member of the Longleg Tribe, recognizable by his frame perched on naturally elongated legs, Tamago stands out through sheer understatement in a crew stacked with giants and spectacular Zoan users.

It's Tamago, in fact — a feared duelist armed with a shikomizue — who intercepts the Zou mink and his partner Zepo as they try to steal the photographic Road Poneglyph copy from Whole Cake Island. Zepo dies on Big Mom's order; Pedro escapes the same fate only because Pekoms, his own partner in collecting the Fish-Man Island tribute, intervenes on his behalf. Tamago never once needed Haki to close out that duel, relying purely on blade skill against an opponent equally famous for his own swordsmanship.
