It isn't Sanji, or Nami, or anyone flying the Straw Hat flag who stops Oven at Whole Cake Island. It's his own brother-in-law. Capone Bege, newly married to Chiffon and holding her hostage inside his own fortress-body, turns and fires an explosive shell straight into Oven's face to make him let go. Burned and staggered, Oven then gets caught in the propeller blades of his own ship while trying to regain control of the deck — chapter 886 settles an officer's death in a handful of panels, without a single Straw Hat ever raising a fist.

His fruit, the Netsu Netsu no Mi, turns body heat into a spreading weapon: he can superheat any surface he touches, including the seawater around him, making a fall into the ocean lethal for anyone who can't swim through it fast enough. Minister of Grilled Goods, governor of Yakigashi Island, Oven represents the bakery-and-oven branch of the Charlotte family — a culinary title turned into a physical weapon.

Triplet to Katakuri and Daifuku, he shares an identical bounty with the latter, 300 million berries, without either file overlapping by a word: Daifuku's fight ends when a building collapses on him; Oven's ends with a shell fired by a man who married into his own family.

The scene is dated, the attacker named, the mechanism entirely mechanical — a man whose weapon is heat, undone by the iron of a ship he thought was his.
