Charlotte Mont-d'Or opens a book above his target, pulls them in between the pages, and seals them inside a paper world where time stops working — no injury, no aging, no hunger. The only way out is to burn the binding: as long as the book stays whole, the prisoner stays frozen, conscious, unable to act.

It's this exact trap that Vinsmoke princes Niji and Yonji recognize on sight as the mark of a Big Mom heavyweight, before a single blow lands — the court magician doesn't need brute force to be feared. His bounty, 120 million berries, doesn't reward any combat on record either: Mont-d'Or's file reads like an advisor's, not an enforcer's, unlike most Ministers whose numbers trace back to a direct fight.

No scene shows him losing that fruit to a named opponent, and none shows him using it to its full extent on a Straw Hat — his file remains, at this point in the story, a threat that never fully plays out, a sentence passed on paper rather than in battle. What sets him apart from the other Big Mom officers already logged in this register: his danger sits in an object, not a fist, in a library rather than a ring.
