Nico Robin’s Bounty at 130,000,000 Berries

This is the first of Nico Robin's bounties in which she is not the object. The earlier ones priced what she knew, and at Enies Lobby she was the whole point of the day. At Dressrosa she is one operative among several in an operation that has nothing to do with her.

What she actually does there is worth describing, because none of it is a fight. Robin travels under the island through the tunnels with Usopp and the Tontatta, reaches the officers' tower, walks up to Trebol and tells him a crew is causing trouble down at the port. Trebol leaves the tower. That is the whole contribution, and it is what clears the way for everything else. Later she lends Kyros a hand against Diamante in the flower field.

The World Government priced that at fifty million more, which is where the entry gets interesting: Nami, Franky and Brook were all given exactly the same increment for the same arc. The woman the institution had hunted for twenty years, and burned an island for, leaves Dressrosa on the group rate.

Fifty million can be read as an insult or as an admission. For two decades Robin had been a special case, passed between organisations, a target CP9 was under orders to bring back intact. Here she is processed in a batch, alongside a shipwright and a musician.

The likeliest explanation is that nothing she did on that island was visible from outside it. A lie told to an officer in a tower leaves no evidence; what the Marines could establish was that she belonged to the crew that brought down a Warlord.

It is probably the only ranking in her life that never bothered her.
