CONFIDENTIAL

Three nine-year-olds on the North Blue islet of Downs, thirty-one years ago, watched a fourth child's eyes flash with Conqueror's Haki. Trebol was one of them. Together they swore loyalty to that child — the future Donquixote Doflamingo — and pushed him to kill his own father so the Ito Ito no Mi could be handed over at Mary Geoise. Without that pact, there is no Warlord Doflamingo, and no Family carrying his name. It also bought Trebol his own standing for the decades that followed: one of the four children of Downs, and one of Doflamingo's closest officers, right up to the Warlord seat the fruit eventually purchased.

Thirty years later, Trafalgar Law comes to collect on that history. Before the one-on-one starts, Trebol traps several of Law's allies inside his own body, now pure mucus courtesy of the Beta Beta no Mi — a substance that absorbs hits and regenerates on contact. It buys him nothing. Law's Ope Ope no Mi radio knife pins him down, and Trebol tries to take Law with him in a self-detonation. The blast fails. Marines take him into custody once Doflamingo's own arrest closes the case out, processing him as a prisoner rather than logging him as a casualty.

Of the three childhood conspirators from Downs still standing at Dressrosa, Trebol is the only one whose file ends in an arrest rather than a battlefield collapse. Ninety-nine million berries for the man who built Dressrosa's puppet Warlord, then outlived his own last card.
