Behind the bounty
366 million berries, a 5.5-fold jump and the largest of Nami's career. It came after the raid on Onigashima, the war in which Luffy's alliance brought down both Kaido and Big Mom. Usopp, Franky and Brook each gained the same 300 million, and Luffy was named an Emperor in the same wave of news.
Nami's share of that war has a name: Ulti of the Tobiroppo, the Beasts Pirates' second tier of command, wanted for 400 million. In the first round, fighting alongside her brother Page One, Ulti put Nami and Usopp out of action and was about to kill the navigator when Tama and Komachiyo stepped in. At one point Ulti also offered to spare her on one condition: say out loud that Luffy would never become Pirate King. Nami refused, crying with fear.
Later the debt ran the other way. When Ulti clawed at Tama, Nami came back and struck her, right in front of a Big Mom who was ready to punish the Tobiroppo herself. The fight was finally settled with Usopp and Zeus, against an Ulti who had absorbed the Emperor's Maser Ho in the meantime: a real victory, though nothing like an even duel.
The World Government then priced Nami 34 million below the woman she had just beaten. Inside her own crew nothing moved: she stayed second from bottom, behind Brook and Franky and ahead of Chopper alone, while four of her crewmates crossed the billion mark.
