Three hundred and eighty-three million, and a role no poster could describe.

On Onigashima, Black Maria — a member of the Tobiroppo posted at 480 million — was holding Sanji in her webs inside a building she controlled entirely and had filled with her subordinates, as bait for Nico Robin. Robin came, and Brook came with her. What Brook did there was not beat Black Maria; Robin broke her. He froze the webs, got Sanji out, and then put the whole room down with a single musical attack. His ice is not an elemental power: it is the chill of the underworld, the energy of his soul passed into his cane sword, and it exists only because he died once.

That is the substance of it, and the figure misses it completely. Brook's value has never been military. He is the only member of the crew who has already lived through the end of a story: an entire crew dead around him, a promise he could not keep, fifty years spent paying for it.

He sails to get back to Reverse Mountain, where a whale named Laboon has waited half a century for musicians who never returned. Brook's whole career fits inside that appointment.

The final placement, for the record: eighth in the crew, just behind Franky, a long way from the four members above a billion. Brook has never disputed this kind of measurement. He spent fifty years learning exactly what a number can and cannot hold.
