Vinsmoke Sanji’s Bounty at 1,032,000,000 Berries

Sanji came out of Wano above the billion mark, and the number says nothing about how he got there: by destroying his own equipment halfway through the fight.

His opponent on Onigashima was Queen, Kaido's right hand, posted at 1,320,000,000 — a scientist turned cyborg who had swapped half his own body for machinery of his own design. Sanji fought the early rounds in the Raid Suit, the gear engineered by Vinsmoke Judge. Then his body began changing on its own: an exoskeleton, wounds closing over, reflexes he had never asked for. He caught himself striking a woman. He crushed the suit and its canister, and finished the fight without it.

In between, he called Zoro on a Den Den Mushi and asked to be cut down if he came out of the war as something other than human. Zoro said he did not understand, then agreed to do it. That is the item that explains the rest of the file: Sanji put down an Emperor's executive having already arranged his own death in case winning cost him whatever he is.

The finish came from Ifrit Jambe — Diable Jambe wrapped in Haki, the flame turning blue — and the body that carried it was still the one his father had rebuilt before he was born. The refusal was aimed at the suit, not at the biology. That was the part Sanji could still save, and he saved it.

The register logs an amount, an epithet and an island. It also logs, without comment, four members of one crew crossing a billion in a single edition, the cook among them.
