Bounty of Kuromarimo – non-wanted character

Kuromarimo's weapon is his own hair: a mass of afro curls he detaches into pom-poms hiding sharp spikes, launched in bursts thick enough to blanket a corridor under the name Bikkuri Marimo. No other character in this entire registry turns a hairstyle into an arsenal — a detail on its own strange enough to set him apart from any other bodyguard in the whole cast, and one Chess, his fellow aide in the same court, never had a version of.

His loyalty to Wapol still doesn't buy him a heroic ending. During the attempt to retake Drum Island, the king he serves swallows him too, alongside Chess, and fuses the pair into a single entity, Chessmarimo, through the Baku Baku no Mi. He ends up absorbed by the man he was fighting for, without ever getting the chance to lose to an opponent from outside.

Nothing in his file counts as piracy: up to that episode, Kuromarimo is a plain guard in service of a recognized kingdom, never an independent actor who committed an act the World Government could label a maritime crime. Fighting for a tyrant inside that tyrant's own borders doesn't, on its own, open a bounty file.

No source confirms what happens to him after Wapol's defeat at the hands of Chopper and Dalton; like Chess, the fusion closes his story at the exact moment it might otherwise have opened a new one somewhere else.
