    CONFIDENTIAL

Kanjuro's fruit is not Kin'emon's. The Fude Fude no Mi turns anything his brush paints in ink into a real, solid object — and it is that power, not a costume, that made twenty years of flawless infiltration inside the Kozuki clan possible, all of it in service to Orochi and the Beasts Pirates.

Blood kin to the Kurozumi family, he lost his actor parents to Wano citizens avenging Oden's fall on anyone carrying that surname; taken in by Orochi's circle, he turned that grief into a personal vendetta rather than a mere assignment. His betrayal surfaces on the boat to Onigashima, just before the raid, in front of the eight other Red Scabbards he had spent two decades beside without raising a single doubt.

He kidnaps Momonosuke to hand him over to the Beasts Pirates, leaving an ink copy of himself on the shore to cover his escape. That copy is what Kin'emon beheads, believing he's avenging the boy, before realizing he has cut down nothing but paper while the real traitor is already gone.

Before the reveal, his companions described him as the gentlest and most easygoing of the Red Scabbards — an artist who painted their portraits while joking around, which only made the betrayal land harder on the people who lived through it.

No bounty was ever posted on this man — not from the Kozuki side, which never suspected him, and not from Orochi's side, which had no reason to file paperwork on its own spy. The only record Kanjuro leaves behind is the memory of the eight men he spent twenty years deceiving.
