    CONFIDENTIAL

Kin'emon's power is, quite literally, the art of the fake face. The Fuku Fuku no Mi lets him mark a point in midair and pull any garment out of it, cut from whatever material happens to be nearby — leaves, fire, stone — dressing anyone who passes through. That is how the Straw Hats first meet him at Punk Hazard, disguised as animals to slip out of Caesar Clown's lab; years later, the same trick lets him plant a single point at the foot of a bridge in Onigashima and costume the entire Alliance in seconds before the final assault on Kaido.

A retainer of Kozuki Oden, he counts among the Nine Red Scabbards and the handful of warriors Kozuki Toki's fruit carried twenty years into the future alongside young Momonosuke — a one-way trip into an era where their lord was already dead and Orochi already sat as shogun. A man whose trade is manufacturing borrowed identities happens to come from a country that made borrowed identity a matter of state: Wano stayed sealed off from the world for decades, out of reach of any bounty the World Government might have tried to post, his included.

His own gift turned on him in the story's cruelest reversal. Believing he was avenging Momonosuke's kidnapping, Kin'emon beheads the figure left behind on the shore, sure he's finally struck down the traitor Kurozumi Kanjuro — only to learn he has cut down nothing but an ink copy, drawn by the traitor's own fruit, while the real Kanjuro was already gone with the boy. The master of disguise walked straight into someone else's, at the one moment a mistake couldn't be undone.
