Bounty of Marcus Mars – credible but non-canon

Marcus Mars appears in no combat scene recovered from Egghead — his documented role sits elsewhere entirely. He personally interrogates Luffy in chapter 1090, before the military assault even begins, and it's him again, in chapter 1112, who discovers the Transponder Snail left in plain sight to broadcast Vegapunk's message to the whole world. Two scenes, both investigative rather than martial, setting him clearly apart from Warcury or Ju Peter within that same arc.

His Devil Fruit, a Mythical Zoan modeled on the Itsumade, a serpent-bodied bird from Japanese folklore with a fanged human face, is never shown in offensive use in any available scene; it reads as a mark of status more than a weapon actually deployed against anyone. The contrast with his four colleagues, whose clashes with the giants are physical and dated on the page, is stark. He was already there in silhouette back in chapter 233, nearly two decades before Egghead finally put a name and a face on the seat.

Cross Guild has published nothing on him, same as the other four Elders here — but in his case the absence of a figure comes close to matching an absence of material worth pricing in the first place: no identifiable act of violence, only a constant presence at the top of an institution that decides, in secret, what gets erased from official history. An Elder who asks questions and reads messages doesn't leave the kind of trace a bounty gets built on.
