Bounty of Oimo – credible but non-canon

A hundred years at the gate in exchange for his two captains' freedom: that was the deal the Marines offered Oimo after catching him at sea with Kashii. Fifty years into Dorry and Brogy's duel, the two giants had left Elbaph to find out why neither captain had come home. Under interrogation they were told both men sat in the World Government's great prison. They agreed, and held the main gate of Enies Lobby without a single breach for fifty years, half the term.

It was not the first time the Government had played this crew. Shortly after it broke up, members captured by the Marines were led to an execution that Mother Carmel stepped in to halt, pleading for peace between the races. The whole scene had been staged with the Marines to win her Elbaph's trust.

At Enies Lobby, Oimo is the one who learns the truth. Knocked flat by the invaders, he is weeping over his captains' lost freedom, calling himself and Kashii the shame of Elbaph, when Sogeking asks whether he is really from there. Oimo tells him about the deal. Usopp, who had met Dorry and Brogy on Little Garden, answers that they were never prisoners and are still fighting. Played for half a century, the two giants turn their weapons on the island's guards and Marines on the spot.

The story only prices his captains, a hundred million each over a century ago, and says nothing either way about Oimo. Grounds for a bounty are not lacking: he was taken at sea as a pirate of a crew that had terrorized the world, he turned on the Government on its own judicial island, and two years later on Elbaph he stands against the Knights of God when they come for the schoolchildren, his grandson Olav among them, a boy who sees him as a barbaric pirate.
