Nico Olvia’s WANTED poster with a reward of 79 million Berries.

The last time Nico Olvia holds her daughter, it's to hand her over to a man who has just deserted the Marines for her sake. Rear Admiral Jaguar D. Saul, loyal until that point, had freed her from her cell without knowing she had a daughter on the very island where he'd later wash up wounded, having given up his own rank for her; he's the one who receives Robin from her mother's arms, hours before the Buster Call levels Ohara.
Having left twenty-eight years earlier to study the ruins of the Void Century alongside other researchers from the island, Olvia spends only a fraction of Robin's life anywhere near her, captured along the way, held by the Marines for years, then brought back wounded to the island she'd left as a girl, in the final days before its destruction. Rather than flee with her daughter while there's still time, she chooses to stay behind with Ohara's scholars to try to save the Tree of Knowledge's library collection, and dies in the fire that follows the Buster Call order.
Seventy-nine million berries, a figure set on an archaeologist rather than a fighter: a number that really sanctions an entire body of knowledge the World Government treats as a weapon in its own right, the same knowledge Robin still carries, the island's last survivor, twenty years after a mother she barely had time to know.
