    CONFIDENTIAL

The name Gloriosa barely appears in the story at all: everyone on Amazon Lily calls her Elder Nyon instead. Three generations before Boa Hancock, she reigned herself as Empress of the Kuja — and, earlier still, she sailed with the Rocks Pirates, the same crew that once held Whitebeard, Big Mom, Kaido and Shiki together before it tore itself apart at God Valley. Almost none of that period is shown involving her directly on the page: no fight, no capture, no documented escape of her own.

What she does fifteen years before the present story is far better attested. She finds three little girls who have just escaped four years of slavery under the Celestial Dragons at Mary Geoise — Hancock, Sandersonia and Marigold — and raises them as her own until their triumphant return to the island. Now an adviser to the very empress she helped raise herself, she is the only living link spanning two separate Kuja eras at once: the Rocks/God Valley generation and the current reign of the three sisters.

A former crew member of a legendary outfit turned quiet regent has never, in either role, registered as an identifiable threat to the World Government. The Rocks Pirates survive only as a collective memory with no individual file ever recovered, and an adviser who no longer fights opens no line of her own at all. The silence here traces a change of role, not an oversight.
