Bounty of Hack – credible but non-canon

Hack is a Japanese soldierfish fish-man out of the Ryugu Kingdom, a hundredth-dan Fish-Man Karate practitioner and a Fish-Man Jujutsu martial artist. His job in the Revolutionary Army is training: for years he taught the orphans the organization took in, among them a boy called Sabo, who by thirteen had nothing left to learn from him. The World Government prices the student at 602,000,000 and has never shown anything at all on the teacher.

At Dressrosa he comes in with Sabo and Koala to shut down an arms trade run by the Donquixote Family, and enters the Corrida Colosseum to compete for the Mera Mera no Mi. In Block B a gladiator asks what a freak is doing in a human tournament; Hack answers that those are a puppet's words and that if the man wants to talk he should do it with his fists, catches the spiked club one-handed, and sends him out of the ring in a single strike — then announces he intends to go on making friends by fighting, the way his friend Jinbe does.

His exit is less dignified. Bartolomeo is urinating over the side of the arena while everyone else fights seriously, so Hack attacks him from behind, and his hand shatters against the Bari Bari no Mi barrier. Nobody treats him: he is thrown into a cell full of broken toys, then turned into a toy himself, and spends the rest of the arc hauling crates through the underground trade port he came to investigate, grumbling that Koala is waiting on his report.

Nothing rules a bounty out. Belonging to the organization that wants the Government gone is reason enough, and both his mission partners are wanted. The story simply never says — it shows one mission of his, which is what happens to characters it passes without stopping.
