Scopper Gaban’s Bounty at an unknown amount of Berries

The World Government has never lifted the bounties on the Roger Pirates. They are still active a quarter of a century after the crew broke up and will not come down until their holders die: once the captain was executed, every one of his former men was hunted without pause. So Scopper Gaban has one. It is his figure the reader has never been shown.

He was the crew's navigator, and its second strongest man after Roger — his own assessment, and he took the trouble to correct the giants of Elbaph the day they ranked him third behind Rayleigh. The world calls him the Left Hand of the Pirate King, the other arm being Rayleigh. His second name, Mountain-Eater, comes from a day when Roger was recovering in a mountain hospital: Gaban beat the pirates who came to surround them single-handed and left no tree standing on the slope.

At God Valley thirty-eight years ago, Roger sent Rayleigh to take back Shakuyaku, the grand prize of the World Nobles' hunt; Gaban led the men onto the treasure, then was ordered to clear out with the haul while his captain stayed behind to face Imu. He went back with Rayleigh anyway, to haul Roger and Garp off the field. In one of the chests they carried away lay an infant: Shanks.

After the execution he did not put back out to sea. Twenty years ago he settled on Elbaph with the giantess Ripley and had a son by her, Colon, refusing to marry her because he ages far too fast for either of them. That is where he has picked his axes back up, at an age when almost every pillar of his generation is dead, and where he lost his left arm to Imu in person. The hunt for Roger's men never stopped. It simply never caught him.
