CONFIDENTIAL

Scopper Gaban crossed two generations of Grand Line history without leaving a single administrative line behind him. Roger's former navigator, he was known as the Pirate King's Left Hand, with Rayleigh standing as the Right — yet neither number ever appeared side by side on a wanted poster. Rayleigh's stays unspoken; Gaban's has never even been confirmed to exist for the reader.

The canon record is not thin. Gaban was present at God Valley nearly forty years ago, the night the World Government erased an entire crew from the map, and he walked away from it. After Roger's death, he didn't return to sea: he settled in Elbaf, married the giantess Ripley, fathered a son, Colon, and dropped off the record for over two decades. No capture, no execution, no announced retirement — just an absence.

The current arc is what pulled him back into view. In Elbaf, Gaban picks up the axes he once wielded for Roger and, at an age when most pillars of his generation are dead, finds himself facing Imu directly — a fight that costs him his left arm. The Government now watches a man it never managed to properly file taking up arms again against the authority hiding behind it.

No field in the registry carries a number under his name. This isn't an ordinary administrative gap: it belongs to a man who spent two generations of piracy staying on the right side of silence.
