Silvers Rayleigh’s Bounty at an unknown amount of Berries

Silvers Rayleigh has a bounty, and the Marines know what it says. The reader is the one who has never seen it: Oda has kept the figure off the page, which makes it one of the most argued-over blanks in the series.

The file itself is anything but empty. Rayleigh was Gol D. Roger's first mate, the man standing beside him when the crew reached Laugh Tale, and one of the very few people still breathing who knows what is there. Roger turned himself in. Rayleigh did not. He simply stopped sailing, and now coats ships on Sabaody Archipelago without hiding from anyone.

Retirement has not helped his case. At the Human Auctioning House he freed the captive slaves in front of witnesses and dropped an entire room with Haki. He then held Admiral Kizaru in place long enough for the Straw Hats to be scattered — a man in his seventies stalling a serving admiral, in front of a whole archipelago. He later turned up at Marineford to watch the war, and nobody dared move on him.

With no figure of his own, the neighbours are the only guide. Marco, Whitebeard's first mate, is posted at 1,374,000,000; Rayleigh was right hand to the only man who ever conquered the Grand Line, in a generation whose numbers still hold the all-time record. The name the world uses for him, Dark King, never came off a wanted poster either. It travelled by witness. That may be the more accurate measurement anyway.
