The Mantra every one of Enel's guardians trains sharpens their reading of a fight. On Gedatsu, it does the opposite. His eyes stay permanently rolled back, turned inward by the concentration the technique demands of him — a self-inflicted handicap that rattles opponents more than it protects him, which makes him the only guardian in the group whose main weapon looks, from the outside, exactly like a weakness.

He oversees the Ordeal of the Swamp, a mud trap built to exhaust a challenger before any real fight starts. Chopper answers with his Arm Point transformation, a gut punch that leaves a visible X-shaped mark — not an anonymous scratch, a precise, dated signature of defeat, from the same stretch of the story as the other guardians' falls. Gedatsu then drops all the way from Skypiea down to the Blue Sea, a distance the island's own geography makes almost literally endless.

No file tracks that fall. The World Government held no map of the Sky at the time: a man ruling over a swamp suspended miles above the ocean simply doesn't exist for any land-based administration until somebody climbs back down to report it — and nobody, before the Straw Hats, ever had.

What happens after his defeat sits outside the main story; nothing verified says where he lands, and that silence isn't a gap this text tries to fill with an invented ending.
