CONFIDENTIAL

Before he ever wore the crest of Whitebeard's 16th Division, Izo already owed an allegiance: he served as a retainer to Lord Kozuki Oden, standing alongside his own younger brother, Kikunojo. He was already performing as a kabuki actor back then, an art he kept practicing in drag well into his years as a Whitebeard commander, never once hiding it from the rest of the crew. When Oden died, Izo left Wano to join Whitebeard rather than stay — a choice that eventually put him at Marineford, in the ranks of one of the story's most heavily commanded crews.

His bounty, 510,000,000 berries, now sits in a closed file: Izo died during the Raid on Onigashima, twenty years after leaving Wano, fighting CP0 agent Maha to cover the retreat of Kikunojo and Kin'emon. The two men he shielded that day were, respectively, his blood brother and his fellow retainer from Oden's court — the same generation he'd walked away from two decades earlier to follow Whitebeard, met again for one last fight.

The figure hasn't moved since Marineford: Izo was there, but standing in the shade of the war's more talked-about commanders, with no isolated feat of his own to push the number upward afterward. What the registry files as a closed bounty actually tells a full round trip — from Wano to Whitebeard, and then from Whitebeard's crew all the way back to the foot of the same castle he'd once left as a young retainer.
