CONFIDENTIAL

Clay shaped into golems, animated and puppeted like combat marionettes: that's what the Gunyo Gunyo no Mi looks like in Grus's hands, a rear admiral attached to SWORD out of base G-14. Prince, the courtesy title stitched to his name, traces back to no identified kingdom — born in the West Blue, he wears the word the way other officers wear a uniform, with no throne behind it.

His best-documented action doesn't come from Egghead but from years earlier, at Hachinosu: enlisted in Vice Admiral Garp's assault on the Blackbeard Pirates' stronghold, Grus is one of the reinforcements closing the trap around Marshall D. Teach's crew — the same operation where Vasco Shot douses a wounded Garp in flaming liquor to cover his crew's retreat. Grus stands on the side holding the line, not the side breaking it.

The public file doesn't go past that shared operation: no duel, no named opponent has been specifically attributed to him to date — a gap worth admitting rather than dressing up with invention. What is documented instead is his age (29 at the time of his first appearance) and a cover illustration shared with fellow SWORD officer Capone Bege, more biographical trivia than combat record.

Cross Guild rates him at five stars, five hundred million berries by its scale — the standard full rate for a mid-ranking field officer, whatever courtesy title happens to precede his name.
