Bounty of Denjiro – non-wanted character

For twenty years, Denjiro did not exist. In his place stood a man named Kyoshiro, boss of the yakuza in Bakura Town, feared and respected by the occupying regime he was quietly working to destroy — a cover built brick by brick to shield Kozuki Hiyori and undermine Orochi from inside his own system. Unlike Kurozumi Kanjuro's betrayal, this second identity never switched sides; it simply waited longer than anyone else's to pay off.

That payoff comes during the Fire Festival atop Onigashima. Shogun Orochi, transformed into the eight-headed Yamata no Orochi by the Hebi Hebi no Mi, loses one head to Kaido's own betrayal, then six more in a single combined strike from the Red Scabbards — and it is Denjiro who lands the eighth and final cut, the one that actually ends the reign of the man who had Kozuki Oden executed two decades earlier.

No bounty was ever posted on either half of that man. Not on Kyoshiro, a name the World Government never even had reason to learn, and not on Denjiro, whose file never left a country that had sealed its own borders from the rest of the world. The nation hid the identity; the identity hid the vengeance underneath it.

After the war, the new shogun Momonosuke names him daimyo of Kibi — an entire province handed to a man who had already governed it, unnamed and unrecognized, for twenty years.
