CONFIDENTIAL

Trafalgar Law and Eustass Kid cannot stand each other, and the World Government did not care. Big Mom went down under both men working together at Onigashima, and the Navy priced the two heads identically without attempting to divide the credit. Two captains who each refuse to be anyone's second were assessed as equal contributors to the same act.

The feat is real and it is dated. While Luffy fought on the roof, Law and Kid held the Emperor inside the Skull Dome, then sent her down through the floors, through the weapons vault and through the bottom of the island into the magma chamber sleeping beneath it. Two years earlier, their generation had been scattered across Sabaody by a single admiral.

What followed was short. Kid set course for Elbaf to find Shanks, exactly as he had said he would before Wano. He never landed a blow. Shanks saw in advance what Kid's railgun would do to the hundreds of people massed behind the target, and put him down with one stroke. His crew handed over their Poneglyph rubbings to be spared, and then the Victoria Punk was split in half by Dorry and Brogy, two giants of Elbaf allied to the Emperor, and went under with the men aboard. The series has never said what became of Kid himself: Oda left the question open, and the amount stands active for want of any reason to close it.

Whatever this poster is worth, it is worth it for Wano. It pays for an Emperor put on the ground, and nothing that happened on Elbaf takes that back. There is only this: the thing that had made Kid the most expensive man of his generation at Sabaody, damage dealt without discrimination, is exactly what decided Shanks to cut him down before he could fire.
