Dracule Mihawk’s Bounty at 3,590,000,000 Berries

For twenty years of publication, Dracule Mihawk was the one man in the world with no price on him. The greatest swordsman alive, a Warlord from before the story even started, living alone in a ruined castle on Kuraigana with government immunity as his only income. No wanted poster — that was precisely the trade the Seven Warlords of the Sea had made.

The Levely ended the arrangement. When the World Government dissolved the system, it made every former Warlord huntable overnight, and it suddenly had to put a figure on men it had spent decades deliberately not figuring. Mihawk's came back at 3,590,000,000 berries, revealed in the same breath as the founding of Cross Guild.

The number reads as a retroactive confession. It puts him above every other ex-Warlord, above any Supernova, within reach of the Emperors — with no crew, no territory, no fleet behind him. He was assessed as one man.

The irony is hard to miss. Among Cross Guild's three founders, Mihawk carries the heaviest bounty, yet it's Buggy — at 3,189,000,000 — whom the Government elevated to Emperor and treated as the face of the operation. The world's strongest swordsman is, on paper, taking orders from a clown who only half understands what he's running.

For Roronoa Zoro the figure does something more concrete: it measures the gap. Zoro's own 1,111,000,000 doesn't reach a third of it. Every time Mihawk's price moves, the goalpost moves with it — which is roughly the only relationship those two have ever needed.
