Charlotte Linlin’s Bounty at 4,388,000,000 Berries

Roughly forty years separate the previous figure from this one, and the series has never shown a single step in between. What fits in the gap is a country. Linlin founded Totto Land, an archipelago with its own laws and a currency taken directly out of its residents' lifespans.

She produced eighty-five children by forty-three husbands and used them as a diplomatic instrument, marrying them into crews, kingdoms and organisations until the Big Mom Pirates held blood ties across the New World. One of the Seven Warlords sailed under her flag. Germa 66, a mercenary army with a royal line of its own, was to be brought in by wedding. Islands that missed a tribute burned: Bobbin came back from one such errand to report that everything had gone up in flames, and she remarked that the place must have smelled wonderful.

Taking territory and holding it is piracy, and at this level it is most of the job. An Emperor's price stops measuring what a pair of fists can do and starts measuring reach: protected seas, allied fleets, kingdoms held by marriage. All of that sits inside the figure at once, and Kaido, her ally at Onigashima, stands only 223.1 million ahead of her. She had been after the title of Pirate King since before the great age opened; Roger read her Road Poneglyph over twenty-five years ago and reached Laugh Tale ahead of her.

She went down a shaft inside the island alongside that same ally. Whatever Totto Land amounts to now, the price standing on its queen still describes the woman who built it.
