Killer’s Bounty at 200,000,000 Berries

This figure has never moved. It shows up on the page where Kid resurfaces after the two-year gap carrying 470 million, and it is still Killer's today: after Wano, after Kaidou, after Hawkins. So it does not pay for Wano, which is exactly what makes the poster worth reading, because Wano is what cost him most.

To save his crew, with his captain's life used as the bargaining chip, Killer took a deal whose terms the story has never spelled out: swallow a SMILE and work for the shogun Kurozumi Orochi. SMILEs succeed in a minority of cases and nobody knows in advance which way one will fall. His failed. It gave him nothing and took away his ability to express anything but laughter, which is a cruel bill for a man who had spent his life silencing his own laugh. He now laughs while in pain, while grieving, while delivering bad news.

What follows happens under another name, and over weeks rather than years. As Kamazo, the shogun's hired killer, he is credited by the Flower Capital newspaper with a street murder in District 2. Orochi then sends him after a child, Toko; Zoro stops him at Ringo, the shogun discards him, and he ends up in the Udon prison mine, held underwater by Queen beside Kid and unable to answer his captain's questions except by laughing.

Then Onigashima, where he cuts Kaidou deeply enough for the Emperor to say so out loud, knocks Napoleon out of Big Mom's hand, and takes off Basil Hawkins' left arm because Hawkins had tied his own life to Kid's and Kid no longer had that arm to lose. A week later, in the port of Tokage, the crew is trading guesses about new bounties. Apoo arrives with the newspaper, Kid jumps to three billion, and Killer's number stays where it was.
