There is nothing personal in this reinstatement. The Levely abolished the Seven Warlords, and the Navy went after all of them in the same sweep: Buggy, Mihawk, Edward Weevil and her. Hancock told her subjects not to worry, reminding them that the title had been offered in the first place because of what they were worth.

Two parties turned up at Amazon Lily. Captain Koby offered her a way out — surrender alone, and the World Government would spare her people. She refused to be held captive ever again, then petrified nearly everything that had come ashore: Vice Admiral Yamakaji on one side, the Titanic Captains Catarina Devon and Vasco Shot on the other. Because the Blackbeard Pirates had come as well, and not to arrest her. That crew collects Devil Fruits, and hers can only be had by killing her.

Blackbeard got hold of her and cancelled her power. She had time to warn him that her death would leave his own crewmates as stone forever; it was Silvers Rayleigh, arriving on those words, who sent both sides away. She returned everyone to flesh, and the episode cost her differently than it cost them: losing, and having needed an outsider to save her people, dealt her pride a heavy blow.

Blackbeard's men did leave with something, and it was not what they had come for — Captain Koby. Weeks later, working out that the next fleet would come because she was there, Hancock wondered where she ought to go, then concluded that she wanted to marry Luffy. Vegapunk, in the meantime, had cloned her power and named it S-Snake.
